Gearbox faults demand patience and precision. We are looking for a Transmission Specialist who diagnoses before replacing, follows manufacturer procedures and is equally at home with everyday vehicles and high-performance cars.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose shifting, slipping, noise and engagement faults using road tests and diagnostic data.
- Remove, overhaul and refit automatic, manual, CVT and dual-clutch transmissions.
- Service transmission fluids, valve bodies, torque converters and clutches.
- Work with the Lab team on adaptations, resets and transmission control software.
- Document findings and work clearly, so customers understand the repair.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience diagnosing and rebuilding transmissions.
- Hands-on knowledge of automatic, CVT and dual-clutch systems; experience with European and performance vehicles is an advantage.
- Comfortable reading diagnostic data and following manufacturer repair procedures.
- A relevant technical qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Meticulous and patient, committed to finding the cause before the repair.
